Michael brings 21 years' experience as a police officer with the NSW Police Force to his investigative work. For the last 15 years of his career, he served as a Detective within the Child Abuse Squad, conducting numerous complex investigations that resulted in a significant number of accused persons being convicted of child-related offences.

Michael's policing career encompassed the management of a team of detectives, the preparation of comprehensive briefs of evidence, and close collaboration with both the State and Commonwealth Offices of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP). He also regularly provided evidence in criminal prosecutions, bringing a thorough understanding of evidentiary standards and courtroom procedure to his casework.

Since leaving the police force, Michael has led a team of analysts and investigators specialising in latent and special risk cases involving sex crimes and institutional abuse. His work in this capacity draws directly on the investigative rigour, sensitivity, and procedural discipline developed over more than two decades in law enforcement.

Michael's depth of experience in child protection investigations, prosecutorial liaison, and complex case management makes him a valuable resource for law firms requiring meticulous, evidence-focused investigative support in sensitive and high-stakes matters.
