Is skip tracing legal in Australia? Yes. All searches are conducted lawfully, using licensed and authorised data sources, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What information do I need to give you to get started? The more you can provide, the better — full name, date of birth (if known), last known address, and any other identifying details or aliases. Even partial information is often enough to begin.

Is my enquiry confidential? Yes. Every enquiry and investigation is handled in the strictest confidence.

​

How long does it take? Skip tracing searches are typically completed within 10 business days. Family research and family history investigations are more detailed and typically take up to 30 days.

Do you offer surveillance? No — we don't offer surveillance services. Our focus is skip tracing and family research.​

FEES

Expertise meets integrity at Enigma PI. We pride ourselves on offering top-tier investigative services at competitive rates. Because no two cases are the same, our fees are customised based on the type of service you need and the details you can provide.

Our fee structure is based on two primary factors:

  • The duration required to conduct a comprehensive investigation.

  • The specific skillsets utilised to ensure an exhaustive conclusion.

Payment Terms: 

To keep our services accessible, we offer a two-part payment plan. An initial 50% payment is required to begin the investigation, with the final balance due upon completion before the formal findings are released.

TIMEFRAMES

We strive to deliver Skip Tracing results within 10 business days of commencement. This timeframe allows our team to cross-reference data across multiple channels and, when necessary, process information requests from external entities to ensure accuracy.

For Identity & Family History services, we aim for completion within 30 days. These investigations are highly detailed and labor-intensive, requiring a high degree of technical skill, diligence, and coordination with external data sources.​

 

Note on Commencement:

Investigations officially begin once the initial payment (either a pre-arranged installment or payment in full) has been processed.
